My cat Sugar is very much a diva when it comes to getting in her carrier to go to the vet. I have been a client of AHOS since the 80's with various pets. All the doctors are great! Especially Dr. Gaither. She is wonderful with cats. I finally wrangled Sugar up and got her in the kennel for a much needed wellness check. Dr Gaither saw her last minute without an appointment. Also, a shout out to Lauren, she is one of my favorite techs at AHOS. It is very stressful for me to get Sugar to the vet, but they saw her on the spare of the minute and I can't say how much that means to me. Sugar says thank you too.

Had the absolute best experience in the worst of times. Our loving dog battled a liver tumor for months, the day came she told us it was time to let her go and unfortunately having moved to the area recently we called several vets that couldn't help us (first appointment for euthanasia was almost a week away). As you may know, when they tell you it's time you don't want them to suffer - Animal Hospital of Statesville fit us in the same day and was so incredibly kind. We had our three month old baby with us and they were patient, allowed us the time we needed and helped her over the bridge with peace. This may not be the closest vet to our house but it is the one will go to when we get our next four legged family member.

I received some bad news here, and recently had to say goodbye to my cat. He was very ill and nothing could be done, but it was an impossible decision for me. The staff and drs made me feel like he received great care, and I felt cared for as well. They were attentive, understanding, and most of all helped me feel confident I was making the right choice. I just received a card from them, expressing condolences, signed by all the drs and staff. I will definitely be going back when I adopt again

I will never take my animals anywhere else! Dr. Zuercher has been absolutely fabulous. My senior dog recently had to undergo dental surgery, which was somewhat risky due to his heart issues. I was incredibly nervous, however, she made sure I was extremely well informed prior to the procedure and called me personally several times during surgery to keep me updated. She did everything she could to mitigate risk as much as possible. During his recovery at home, she called me to check on him and make sure he was doing okay. She truly cares about the animals she treats and only has their best interests in mind. I also want to add that my dog has never liked going to the vet, but on our past few visits he’s been excited when we get there and loves to say hi to the staff. This is truly a wonderful place.

My fur baby was a patient of Dr. LaRoche, Shiloh was always cared for and regardless of moving over three years ago. I still received birthday emails for my baby. The is the best place to take your fur babies in statesville.

I took my pup here for the first time to have his ears looked at and the empty place where his tooth fell out. The staff was very friendly and informative. They gave me needed medications for his ears and discussed options if this happens to be an allergy problem that doesn't let up after the medication. They gave me a detailed estimate of what it would take to have his teeth examined and cleaned. My dog Zeus never gives me issues with cleaning his ears or looking at his teeth. He was snippy so we had to muzzle him which the Vet said he could be protective over me or nervous and she encourages happy visits. Happy visits are bringing him in getting him on the scale maybe a few treats just so he knows it's a safe place and he doesn't have to be scared. I love the idea and think it would definitely help his anxiety. I highly recommend they loved Zeus and said he was a good boy. My parents have been coming here for 10+ years. I switched from Banfield because I kept having issues with them and was tired of paying monthly. I will definitely be back! Maybe not in the room with him to see if he is less protective and does better without me. But I am so happy with my visit!

Dr. Gaither is heaven sent and helped me out so much! Kind staff in the front and in the back behind closed doors. I came in with a very sick kitten and Dr.Gaither helped me so much. She was comforting and explained every possible thing we can do. We put my sweet baby to rest and I cannot thank this location enough. — Days later and I got the best sympathy card from this location in my mail. Personalized and so thoughtful. Thank you so much!

While their services are expensive, they are wonderful gentle angels disguised as humans. They did everything they could for my baby and unfortunately she could not be saved. They made the goodbye process a gentle one and we stayed with her until the very end. Dr Christy and staff were amazing and phenomenal. By all means I 10 out of 10 recommend this vet for your fur babies.
